Freedom in the Unknown

Freedom in the Unknown

Humility check: I’ve projected my reality onto others a lot in my life, as I’ve seen myself as possessing a gift of wisdom. And I actually do believe this is one of my gifts.

However, this perception has led me at times to impart my insights upon others as though they are universally true. I’ve even seen it as incumbent upon me to do so.

And it’s OK, because it’s been one of my paths of greatest learning—part of my destiny, if you will.

The fact is, I don't know most things. I only know what is true for me. And in this realization I’ve found the lightness that I’ve sought my entire life—not perfectly, nor all the time, but at a very significant level.

I’ve also noticed that this letting go allows those around me to fly much more freely in their own lives, which is a joy to behold.

How about you? Are there things that you feel you’re supposed to know in order to measure up in some way? If so, what would it feel like if you could let that idea go?
